Complex production line for high-tech tractor cabs
Fendt is the high-tech brand within the AGCO corporation which is one of the biggest manufacturers and suppliers of tractors and agricultural machinery in the world. The company depends on the technologies of Carl CLOOS Schweisstechnik GmbH for welding the safety cabs for its tractors. In the two-station system, two robots weld attached parts to cab pillars. Here the Vari Weld process is used which creates an extremely stable and low spatter pulsed arc. The robots are mounted to an overhead-mounted linear track and can flexibly switch between the two stations. The workpiece positioner with vertical rotation is equipped with a vertical stroke with counter bearing and a rotating bridge. Thus positions which are difficult to access can be reached and an optimum weld quality is achieved.
