Swiss Electronic Solutions AG takes over Cloos Electronic GmbH

HAIGER/LE LOCLE – The CLOOS Group is separating from the subsidiary Cloos Electronic GmbH, based in Le Locle, Switzerland. The welding and robotics specialists from Haiger are selling their shares to Swiss Electronic Solutions AG, which belongs to the ARKAD Partners investor group. "We will continue our business relationship with Cloos Electronic GmbH in the future and will still be supplied with electronic components and control cabinets from Switzerland," explains CLOOS Managing Director Alexander Veidt. "We have already concluded a framework agreement for this for the next few years."

Cloos Electronic GmbH was founded in 1986 as a business unit for the production of electronic circuit boards and digital control cabinets. Since then, Cloos Electronic GmbH has steadily expanded the manufacturing area for electronics and electrical engineering both for the CLOOS Group and for third parties - with highly qualified personnel and modern production facilities. In the future, further new business fields and industries are to be developed.

"We are aiming for a long-term commitment and want to push both organic and inorganic growth. The existing customer base offers an ideal starting position to position the company even more broadly in areas such as medical technology or the energy sector," explains ARKAD partner Tobias R. Wiese. "We are very pleased that Robert Klossek, as a long-standing member of the Swiss management, will implement the growth strategy with us."

The company will continue to use the Cloos name. The takeover process is expected to be completed by the end of September. The contracting parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
"In the future, both the CLOOS Group and Cloos Electronic will be able to focus even better on their respective competences and key technologies," Veidt emphasises. "In this way, we strengthen both companies and create the basis for sustainable growth."
